My family was doing a vacation hike, in a pretty remote spot, nowhere near here, and came across another family doing the same thing. We could hear the father’s French accent (my older son speaks French), and saw the older daughter had shorts showing she goes to the same school as my older son. Speaking to them, we learned they also come from NYC. 3 odd coincidences, leading to one very cool interaction. Will this result in a job for my son one day? How the heck do I know. But neither does he, and so speaking with people, and adding them to your network, can never hurt. And one day it might just help. A lot.
