Samuel Beckett quote that I hope resonates with all my college folks: “Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better.”
The last part, “fail better,” is what college is all about, i.e., learning how to learn. You can be a good worker anywhere if you can demonstrate that you can learn efficiently. There’s simply no better time to practice this than in college. The alternative, playing it safe, may seem alluring, but in the end, safety isn’t a skill employers will pay you for. And failing is much better than regret.
